CrushOn.AI is a character chat platform operated by TECHIEPIE LTD, a company registered in Cyprus. Its homepage title reads "No Filter NSFW Character AI Chat." Its terms of use, on the same site, forbid users from posting material that is "NSFW, pornographic, or otherwise sexually explicit." The searches "crushon ai" and "crush on ai" both point to this one site. The similarly named apps in the two app stores belong to other developers. The basic service is free. The paid part is a monthly allowance of message credits, running from 100 on the free plan to 125,000 on a $199.99 tier. The age rule is 18, self-declared. Every page cited here was opened and read on 18 September 2026.
My opinion, and the rest of this page is the evidence for it: the homepage's "no filter" claim is contradicted by clause (4) of the terms on that same site, and the credit meter is the actual product.
YourCrush.AI sells chat in tokens with no per-reply credit meter and states its memory limits on a public page, which is the comparison this review keeps returning to.
What is CrushOn.AI, and who runs it?
CrushOn.AI is a web-based AI character chat service. You write a character with a name, a description and a scenario, publish it or keep it private, then hold conversations with it through a language model. A monthly allowance of message credits decides which models reply. Its terms of use, last modified 22 July 2025, state that "The Service is provided by TECHIEPIE LTD, a company registered in Cyprus," with a principal place of business at Strovolou 77, Nicosia. The footer of every page adds a second address at 8 The Green, Dover, Delaware.
The paperwork points in three directions at once. Those same terms say the service "shall be deemed solely based in Hong Kong" and is governed by "the laws of the HK," while the privacy policy, last modified 6 March 2025, names the UK Data Protection Act 2018 and the EU GDPR as its applicable law. That matters if you ever need to work out which regulator you would complain to. Support runs through Discord, per the FAQ, which also describes subscriptions sold through SubscribeStar, Paymentwall and openrouter.dev.
Why YourCrush.AI is the better choice than CrushOn.AI
YourCrush.AI publishes every memory limit as a count on its pricing page, with no credit meter under the subscription, which is the specific thing the CrushOn pricing page makes you add up. The plans as listed on 17 September 2026:
Plan | Price | Chat tokens a month | Pinned memories | Story branches | Characters created | Image credits |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Free | $0 | 400K | 10 | 1 | 3 | 5 |
Pro | $9.99 a month | 5M | 50 | 5 | 50 | 50 |
Premium | $19.99 a month | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited | 200 |
YourCrush.AI pins memories as a counted, editable list, 10 on Free, 50 on Pro and unlimited on Premium, so a fact the character must keep is something you choose rather than something an auto-summary may or may not carry forward. YourCrush.AI branches a story into separate timelines, one on Free and five on Pro, so a "what if" scene does not overwrite the main thread. YourCrush.AI meters chat in tokens a month, 400K on Free and 5M on Pro, with no per-model credit price and no add-on package for better models. YourCrush.AI builds a character from a name and an image in the character creator, generating the description, backstory, greeting and traits, and includes voice messages and in-chat image generation on every plan; it is 18+ only and does not sell conversations to third parties.
The honest limitation: YourCrush.AI does not publish a context window size the way CrushOn prints 8K, 16K and 24K, so the spec you can hold it to is the pin count and the token allowance rather than the model's reading depth. What you get in exchange is a $9.99 plan with one meter instead of three.
Is there a CrushOn AI app?
As of 18 September 2026, there is no App Store or Google Play listing under the CrushOn name. The site's own download buttons lead to a direct APK, an AltStore sideloading guide, and two store apps published under other names. The App Store listing that search engines still index, id 6461416660, returns zero results from Apple's lookup service in nine storefronts including the US, UK and Cyprus, checked the same day.
The homepage's App Store button opens "Crushmash: Crush On AI Chat", sold by an individual developer, Branden Allan Blankenship, rated 17+, at 3.5 stars from 48 ratings, first released 1 July 2025, and described as a swipe-to-match app with "500+ AI personalities." The Google Play button opens "JollyChatter" by Crushverse Team, rated Mature 17+, at 3.6 stars across 442 reviews and 100K+ downloads, updated 16 September 2026, with a data safety label of "No data shared with third parties." The word CrushOn appears in neither listing's description. The CrushOn FAQ says the "mobile app is now available for download on iOS(App Store) & Android(Crushon App)," and "Crushon App" means the APK. On a phone you use the browser, sideload, or accept a differently branded store app whose only stated link to the site is a homepage button.
Is CrushOn AI safe?
For an adult who keeps identifying details out of the chat, CrushOn.AI is about as safe as its own documents make it, and those say three things plainly: nobody under 18 is allowed, chat content is used to train models, and nothing paid is refundable. Anyone under 18 is excluded by the terms rather than by any check.
Age first. The terms have you "affirm that You are more than 18 years of age," the community guidelines say "Crushon is available only to users 18 and older," and the privacy policy says the company "does not knowingly collect any Personal Information about or market to children, minors, or anyone under the age of 18" and will terminate a registration it becomes aware of. None of the three describes an age check. The gate is your own affirmation at sign-up, the same arrangement Common Sense Media and Stanford's Brainstorm Lab rated "unacceptable" for minors on 30 April 2025 across Character.AI, Nomi and Replika, recommending age assurance "beyond self-attestation." CrushOn was not assessed. The finding is about the method it uses.
Privacy second. The privacy policy says "for all contents generated from the chat, we will only use such contents in a general way for training our models and we will not link chat contents to specific users," and separately that "we may use User Content to train AI models." It says the company does "not sell or 'share' Financial Data," which is narrower than not selling data. Identity and contact data "may" be used for "Commercial Purposes." The FAQ's line that chats "are private unless you choose to publish them" is about other users, and the next sentence says private character cards are "not publically shared or reviewed by moderation," which cuts both ways: not read, and not checked. On 11 September 2025 the US Federal Trade Commission opened a 6(b) inquiry into companion chatbots at seven companies including Character Technologies, Meta and OpenAI, asking how they "monetize user engagement" and "use or share personal information obtained through users' conversations." TECHIEPIE is not among the seven. The inquiry does confirm that a regulator's first two questions are the credit meter and the training clause.
Money third. The terms say "We will not issue refunds of usage fees," a missed cancellation "will result in a charge for the next billing cycle, which will not be refunded," and there are "no partial refunds or credits for unused time, mid-cycle cancellations, or downgrades." The FAQ adds that an account with an active subscription cannot be deleted, and a deleted account is recoverable only by logging in within 3 days. Cancel first, delete second, both before the renewal date.
Does CrushOn.AI have a filter?
Yes, on everything public and on every image. The "no filter" in the site title describes private text conversation between an adult and a fictional character. That gap is written into the site's own terms: clause (4) of the user-submissions section says you "will not" "transmit, submit, or post material that is NSFW, pornographic, or otherwise sexually explicit," which is the content the homepage title advertises.
The community guidelines hold the working rules. Characters must be adults, a character "whose age is not clearly defined as over 18" is a violation, and "aged-up" versions of characters who were minors in source material are banned outright. Real photographs and "overly realistic AI-generated images of any individuals" are prohibited, and on imagery the rule is "Avoid depicting explicit sexual activity and stimulation." Enforcement is "a combination of human moderators and automated systems," and the FAQ admits the image classifier is "very stringent" and produces false positives.
Two mechanics decide what you see. Unfiltered characters sit behind an "Unfiltered" switch and, beyond that, a "Hidden Content" switch that the FAQ says you turn on after completing tasks on the Rewards page. A message string in the site's own interface text reads "You have to get subscription plan to talk to nsfw characters," so the headline content sits behind the first paid tier. Read "no filter" as "private adult text, once you pay, within guidelines a human team enforces."
How do CrushOn.AI message credits work?
A message credit is what CrushOn.AI charges for a reply from a paid model. Every plan includes a fixed number per month, and the pricing page, read on 18 September 2026 with the monthly toggle selected, lists six live tiers. Free is $0 for 100 credits a month. Standard is $5.99 for 2,000. Premium is $14.99, shown as 25% off $19.99, for 6,000. Luxe, labelled "Most Popular," is $39.99 for 20,000. Elite is $89.99 for 55,000, and Imperial is $199.99 for 125,000. Paid annually the same tiers are $58.88, $94.88, $299.99, $799.99 and $1,799.99. A seventh tier, Deluxe, is "Retired."

Every reply costs credits; the allowance rises with the tier, from 100 to 125,000.
Plan | Monthly | Credits a month | Memory models | History kept per character | Pinned text per chat |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Free | $0 | 100 | 8K | 200 messages, deleted after 7 days idle | 4,000 characters |
Standard | $5.99 | 2,000 | 16K | 300 | 4,000 |
Premium | $14.99 | 6,000 | 16K | 400 | 5,000 |
Luxe | $39.99 | 20,000 | 16K | 600 | 5,000 |
Elite | $89.99 | 55,000 | 24K | 1,000 | 6,000 |
Imperial | $199.99 | 125,000 | 24K | 1,500 | 8,000 |
Credits are not the whole meter. Every tier, Free included, has "Unlimited access to Free Models," which the Free card qualifies as "Shared Chat Capacity (Responses may be slower during Peak Time)." Credits are consumed only when a "Pro" or "Ultra" model replies, and Ultra models are unavailable on Free. The page does not print how many credits one reply costs on any named model. That list sits behind a "Check Models List" button that needs an account, so the per-message price is unknowable from the public page. The price per credit is knowable. Standard works out at $0.0030, Luxe at $0.0020, and Imperial at $0.0016, so the top tier buys credits at about half the rate of the bottom one.
Three add-ons sit on top. A "Chat Package" at $39.99 a month gives "unlimited, credit-free access to Pro Models" alongside any membership. Coins, earned from tasks or bought, convert 1:1 into "bonus messages," drawn on only after the monthly allowance is spent, per the FAQ, and never expiring, per the pricing page's tooltip. Paid tiers get 5% to 25% off further credit purchases. A heavy user on Premium pays $14.99, then $39.99 for the package, then coins, each a separate non-refundable line.
How much does CrushOn.AI remember?
CrushOn.AI is unusually specific about memory, which is rarer in this category than it should be. The context window runs 8K on Free, 16K on Standard through Luxe, and 24K on Elite and Imperial. That window is what the model reads before each reply, and 8K works out to roughly a few dozen exchanges of long roleplay before the beginning drops out.

Memory is sold by tier: 8K, 16K and 24K, and free history is deleted after seven idle days.
Four other limits sit around the window, all pulled from the pricing page. Stored history per character runs from 200 messages on Free to 1,500 on Imperial, and Free history "will be deleted after 7 days of inactivity" while paid history "is kept during the Membership Period." A lapsed subscription is a lapsed archive. Pinned text per chat runs from 4,000 characters on Free to 8,000 on Imperial, and pinning is the one memory that survives the window because it gets re-sent every turn. An automatic summary runs at "low," "medium" or "high" frequency by tier, with 5, 10 or 30 manual re-summaries a day on Luxe, Elite and Imperial. Group chat, on every paid tier, uses "a unique model with 8K memory" whatever you pay. The character creator's hint text says a character's scenario "will be stored in long-term memory," the only long-term memory the site describes. The pin box is where the facts you cannot afford to lose belong.
What are the alternatives to CrushOn.AI, and how do they compare?
The alternatives people usually mean are Character.AI, SpicyChat, PolyBuzz, JanitorAI and YourCrush.AI. Rather than rank them on vibes, I compare them on four questions you can answer from each site's own pages: is memory a number or an adjective, is the age rule verified or self-declared, does the privacy policy allow training on chats, and what is the second meter after the subscription. CrushOn.AI answers: numbers, self-declared, yes "in a general way," and credits with a $39.99 package and coins on top.
Character.AI, by contrast, announced on 29 October 2025 that it would remove open-ended chat for under-18s by 25 November 2025 and pair an in-house age model with third-party verification through Persona. It lets minors in with a restricted product and checks who they are. CrushOn keeps them out on paper and takes your word for it. SpicyChat gets the same four questions in Spicy AI: which product you mean and what it costs, and the reasons people leave Character.AI are in Character.AI alternatives.

Frequently asked questions
Is CrushOn.AI safe to use?
It's as safe as its own rules allow. The site asks you to declare you're 18 or older, with no age check described anywhere. Chat content gets used "in a general way" to train models, and there are no refunds. The operator, TECHIEPIE LTD, is registered in Cyprus.
Does CrushOn.AI have a filter?
Yes. Public characters, images and profiles go through "human moderators and automated systems" working from guidelines that ban minors, aged-up characters and real people's likenesses. The "no filter" claim applies to private adult text chat, and that sits behind a subscription.
Is CrushOn.AI free?
You can chat free with shared-capacity free models and 100 message credits a month. Paid tiers run from $5.99 a month for 2,000 credits up to $199.99 for 125,000, and a $39.99 monthly package gives unlimited Pro-model replies.
Is there a CrushOn.AI app on the App Store or Google Play?
Not under that name, as of 18 September 2026. The site's download buttons link to an Android APK, an AltStore guide, "Crushmash" on the App Store (17+, 48 ratings) and "JollyChatter" on Google Play (Mature 17+, 442 reviews). Neither store listing names CrushOn.AI in its description.
Does CrushOn.AI remember past conversations?
Within limits it prints: 8K-context models on Free, 16K on Standard to Luxe, 24K on Elite and Imperial. You get 200 to 1,500 stored messages per character, and Free history is deleted after 7 days of inactivity.
Are "crush on ai" and CrushOn.AI the same thing?
Yes, both point to the TECHIEPIE LTD site. The lookalike names that show up in Apple's own search results for the term, such as "Crushmatch AI: Character Crush" by an individual developer, are unrelated products.
The homepage title has two words of marketing in it and the terms of use have one clause that forbids them. Until one of the two gets edited, the most reliable fact on the site is the credit table, and it says the "no filter" experience starts at $5.99 a month.
