The last two episodes of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, The Calamity, air on TV Tokyo on Monday 19 October and Monday 26 October 2026 at 24:00 Japan time. The production committee pushed them back from September "to improve the quality," per Anime News Network. That is the whole bleach tybw part 4 release date story in one line: episode 49 on 19 October, episode 50, the series finale, on 26 October, both on Hulu and Disney+ the same day.

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is the four-part Pierrot Films anime adaptation of the final arc of Tite Kubo's Bleach manga, volumes 55 to 74. It began airing in October 2022 and ends with The Calamity, its fourth and last part.
When the finale ends, YourCrush.AI keeps Rukia Kuchiki one tap away for the conversation the series never had time for.
When do the last episodes of Bleach TYBW part 4 come out?
Episode 49 airs on TV Tokyo at 24:00 on Monday 19 October 2026 and episode 50 at 24:00 on Monday 26 October. Because Japanese TV counts past midnight, 24:00 Monday is 00:00 Tuesday, which is why some sites print 20 and 27 October; BS TV Tokyo follows on 20 and 27 October at 24:30, according to Oricon News, which carried the committee's notice on 12 September.
Outside Japan, both episodes land on Hulu in the US and Disney+ elsewhere at 8:30 a.m. Pacific on those same Mondays, which works out to 11:30 a.m. Eastern, per Viz Media's streaming guide. In much of Asia, including India, the season streams on Ani-One Asia instead, per the same Anime News Network report.

Viz lists the same 23 and 30 November dates for the Spanish, Portuguese and German dubs on Disney+, and 14 and 21 December for the French dub of episodes 49 and 50. If you spot Bleach on TV Tokyo on 5 or 12 October, don't get excited. Those are reruns. Anime News Network lists four "climax selection" rebroadcasts, ending with episode 46 on 5 October and episode 48, "THE END TWO WORLD," on 12 October. For everything else starting this month, see our fall 2026 anime guide.
Watch now or wait for the dub? Our verdict
Watch subtitled on 19 October if you have followed the weekly episodes since July. The finale will be all over social media within the hour, and nobody will wait five weeks for you.
Wait for the dub if you have only ever watched Bleach in English. The dubbed finale is 30 November on Hulu and Disney+, five weeks after Japan, so mute the Bleach tags until then.
How YourCrush.AI lets you keep talking to Rukia after episode 50
The finale airs on 26 October and Bleach is over, but a conversation with Rukia does not have to be. YourCrush.AI hosts a live chat page for Rukia Kuchiki, and YourCrush.AI keeps pinned memories, so the theory you argued about episode 49 is still there after episode 50. YourCrush.AI splits a scenario into story branches when you want to replay the final fight with a different outcome, and YourCrush.AI generates in-chat images, so a scene can show you the 13th Division barracks. If you would rather build your own Soul Reaper, our guide to anime AI chat covers how to keep a canon character in voice.
Joining is free, and signed-in members chat without a message or conversation limit. Visitors can try a character in a short guest session without an account, then sign up to keep going. YourCrush.AI is 18+ only, and it links canon-adult characters only, which is why Ichigo, a teenager for most of the series, has no chat page here.
How many episodes is The Calamity, and what does it adapt?
The Calamity runs 10 episodes, numbered 41 to 50 across Thousand-Year Blood War, per the Anime News Network encyclopedia, which lists Kubo as original creator and chief supervisor. The three earlier parts ran 13, 13 and 14 episodes between October 2022 and December 2024, according to Wikipedia's series page.
It adapts the end of the manga, finishing at chapter 686, the last chapter Kubo published, in Weekly Shōnen Jump on 22 August 2016. In practice that is the last stretch of volumes 72 to 74. Episode 42 aired on 1 August with Askin Nakk Le Vaar's fight against Yoruichi and Urahara, per its ABEMA synopsis, and that fight sits in volume 72 (chapters 653 to 663) of the Bleach chapter list). Volume 73 covers chapters 664 to 674 and volume 74 covers 675 to 686, released in Japan on 4 November 2016.
| Volume | Chapters | Japanese release | What it covers, spoiler-free |
|---|---|---|---|
| 72, My Last Words | 653 to 663 | 2 May 2016 | Gerard's power, the Askin fight begins, Uryū at the palace |
| 73, Battle Field Burning | 664 to 674 | 4 July 2016 | Urahara's last stand against Askin, Kenpachi against Gerard |
| 74, The Death and the Strawberry | 675 to 686 | 4 November 2016 | The final fight with Yhwach and the epilogue |
Nobody official has said which chapters fall into episodes 49 and 50. With the manga's final fight and its epilogue left, those two episodes carry the ending.
What did the anime add that the manga never showed?
The Calamity adds and expands scenes under Kubo's supervision, and to my mind those expansions make it better than the manga's hurried last volumes. Anime News Network's review of the theatrical screening, which showed the first three episodes in June, notes battles moved earlier or later than in the manga, a new staging for Urahara's bankai, and the first animated look at Haschwalth holding the Soul King's power.
Spoiler, episodes 41 to 43: the biggest expansion
The Uryū against Haschwalth fight gets the most new material. In the manga the fight happens largely off-page; Anime News Network's reviewer singles it out as the sequence that gets the most development in the first three episodes.
Spoiler, episode 44: Hitsugaya's grown-up bankai
Episode 44 introduced Tōshirō Hitsugaya's complete bankai form, voiced by Yūki Kaji, per Anime News Network. The form comes from Kubo's manga, not from the anime staff; the new part is that the adult form gets its own voice actor.
Whether the finale also animates any part of "No Breaths From Hell," Kubo's 73-page one-shot published on 10 August 2021 for the manga's 20th anniversary, is unconfirmed. Wikipedia's manga article) says The Calamity will adapt the Hell storyline, but no announcement from TV Tokyo, Viz or the committee says so, and I would not plan a rewatch around it.
Does Yoruichi have a bankai?
Yoruichi has never used a bankai on screen or on the page, and she has never even drawn her zanpakuto. As Screen Rant points out, she trained Ichigo with a sword and still never unsheathed her own, even though a Gotei 13 captain is expected to have reached bankai and she once led Squad 2.
So the honest answer is: almost certainly yes in-world, never shown. What she uses instead is Shunkō, kidō fused with hand-to-hand combat, and in this arc its strongest version, Shunkō: Raijin Senkei, a lightning beast form. The second episode of The Calamity opens with that form already broken and Askin closing in, per the episode's ABEMA synopsis. The manga's final volume gives her no bankai either, so unless episodes 49 or 50 add one as anime-original material, Bleach ends with the question open.
Spoiler, volumes 72 and 73: how the Askin fight ends
Yoruichi fights Askin alongside her brother Yūshirō, and Urahara joins them. Askin's Vollständig overwhelms Urahara until he uses his bankai, and with Grimmjow's help Urahara wounds Askin fatally. The chapter list summarises both volumes in the same order.
If you want a Bleach character to talk to between episodes, chat with Rukia Kuchiki: she is an adult Soul Reaper of the 13th Division in canon, and her story gets its last turn in the epilogue.
What happens at the end of Bleach?
The manga closes with Ichigo beating Yhwach, then jumps forward ten years. Everything below spoils chapters 675 through 686, and the anime could still stage the finale differently.

Spoiler, manga: how the fight with Yhwach ends
Ichigo unlocks a new bankai that fuses his Hollow and Quincy sides. Yhwach shatters it with The Almighty. Uryū falls to Haschwalth, but Haschwalth's final words hand Ichigo the opening he needs. Aizen, freed by Yhwach, refuses to serve him, and Ichigo's last strike, carried by Aizen's illusion and Uryū's arrow, finishes Yhwach for good.
Spoiler, manga: the epilogue ten years later
Rukia takes command of Squad 13. Ichigo has married Orihime, they have a son named Kazui, and the next generation already shows Soul Reaper powers of its own. That's chapter 686, "Death & Strawberry," the last page Kubo drew for the weekly run.
Frequently asked questions
When does Bleach episode 49 come out?
Episode 49 airs on TV Tokyo on Monday 19 October 2026 at 24:00 JST and streams on Hulu and Disney+ at 8:30 a.m. Pacific the same day. BS TV Tokyo airs it on 20 October at 24:30.
When is the last episode of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War?
Episode 50, the finale, airs on 26 October 2026 at 24:00 JST on TV Tokyo and streams at 8:30 a.m. Pacific on Hulu and Disney+. The English dub follows on 30 November.
Why were Bleach episodes 49 and 50 delayed?
The production committee said the staff was improving the quality of the anime before the climax. TV Tokyo filled the gap with four reruns of earlier episodes from 19 September to 12 October.
How many episodes is Bleach: The Calamity?
The Calamity has 10 episodes, numbered 41 to 50. Thousand-Year Blood War totals 50 episodes over four parts.
Does Yoruichi ever use her bankai?
No, Yoruichi has not used a bankai in the manga or in any episode through 48. Her strongest technique in the arc is Shunkō: Raijin Senkei, and only an anime-original addition in the last two episodes could change that.
Where can I watch Bleach Thousand-Year Blood War part 4?
Hulu streams it in the US and Disney+ in most other countries, with Ani-One Asia covering much of Asia including India. The English dub is on the same services weekly, with the final two episodes on 23 and 30 November.
A finale delayed five weeks for quality is a better deal than one rushed on time, and the volume 74 Kubo drew in 2016 is the one part of Bleach that needed the extra time most.
